i got me some new fishing poles for christmas i have been dying to use it is winter time and i just read all big game fish are all around biters like bass and catfish in ponds see i got me a nice baitcast reel and got a nice rod with it what can i use for the bass and if its like a rubber worm what color? i have better look with green down at the pond and i have a few other stuff in my tackle box thanks please let me know
Well the winter is not the best time to fish for bass, but it is possible. If where you are fishing is not frozen then slow running spinner baits, swim baits, and slowly bouncing and retreiving finesse jigs are pretty good. Though rubber worms would work, winter bass prefer small slow moving food, I’d try a very slow shakey head set up, go with smaller rubber worms.
