What parts should i get to make my bike better and lighter?
I have a nice 6-pack (08) bike and i wanna get better and lighter parts, what parts should i get? What store or website can i get them on? And how much are they?
Depends on the bike. If you have an ’08 it may be light enough already. Taking a few pounds off the bike is very expensive. If you want to drop 5-10lbs you may as well get a new bike. If you have a nice road bike with 105 it will cost you as much as 3 grand to go to Dura Ace and it will not make you faster and only the most technical riders would know the difference. Respectively if you have a mountain bike XTR is the top of the food chain but if you have LX or DX it is hardly worth it. It is easier and far less expensive for you to shed a few pounds than to take them off the bike.with my first bike I waited for something to break before I got the lighter up-grade components.
