Saltwater fish tank purchase?

I’m looking into buying a saltwater aquarium, but I need some information and help on what to buy, how to set it up, and any other pointers. I have been looking into the Biocubes and Red Sea MAX, but I’m not sure if they are good enough, or do you think it would be better if I put together a tank from separate parts. Please supply any information that you have. Thank you.

All-in-ones are good, but depending on what you want to keep, might not be enough in terms of filtration or lighting and, in fact, most people modify their Biocubes.
If you are really serious about it and want to keep corals, I think putting a tank together would be better overall. It might cost more, but you can get the best stuff there is.
However, if you are simply wanting to keep fish only, an all-in-one should be fine.

I would recommend doing a lot of research though on equipment if you plan on putting your own tank together. Think about the size of the tank, the type of filtration you want (canister, hang on back, sump), lighting (for corals – metal halide, T5HO, or LED), as well as powerheads (gph in relation to tank size).
