I have a Garcia Mitchell 302 saltwater reel. What would the best rod be to compliment this reel? Old and new.?
Hey guys, I just recently got the 302 Mitchell Saltwater reel. I’m really excited to use it but I want to buy the ideal rod to use with this reel. So if anyone has suggestions or they use the same reel and have had good luck with something please let me know. Thanks guys.
the ideal rod to match this reel to would be an older garcia conolon rod of 8 or 9 feet in length rated for around 15 or 20lb line, that you may still find at a yard sale or swap meet. even try looking one up on ebay. another good vintage rod (besides fenwick, of course) would be a roddy buddahead. these were great rods.
