Is it bad to put in neutral with 4000+ revs? W220 S500 year 2000?
i dont have a clutch. 😀 obviously, so i want to ‘immitate’ the clucth. can io put the car in neutral, FLOOR IT, and drop it to gear 1/2/3/4/5/6 / drive right before the rev limiter kicks in? other then the fact that my tires will spin, and they will wear, is there any permanent damage to the transmission/engine/differential or any other damage?
Neutral drops put a lot of strain on the transmission, drive shaft, differential, and side shafts.
Also, the traction control would kick almost immediately to stop the wheelspin so basically you would be potentially damaging the drivetrain for no reason whatsoever…
