Figure 8 puffer tankmates?
Hey i have a figure 8 puffer in a 10 gallon brackish water tank. The puffer is in the tank alone, and i was wondering if i can add any new fish to that tank. I am interested in an eel type looking kind of fish. I heard of the pink lipped moray only getting to 10 inches, will this be okay, or will my puffer end up as food? also if the the pink lipped moray eel is not acceptable what about a dragon goby? Is there anything else? My fish tank is set up with synthetic corals, and it looks like a marine reef tank, but is only a brackish, so this is why i am asking for an eel like looking fish to go with the “saltwater” appeal of my tank, if there is no eel type looking kind of fish i can get, what about any colorful bottom feeders that look colorful….remember…this tank is a 10 gallon brackish tank.
i think he may need a 30 gallon tank when he gets bigger. in a larger tank (though greater than 30 gallons) monos and scats would be ok, and violet (dragon) gobies. larger mollies like black and sailfins are good too. bumblebee gobies are always a brackish favorite. nothing can really go with him in a 10 gallon, theres not enough space and he is an aggressive species and needs space for himself.
