What should i do About my old fishing pole?
I found this old fishing pole in the barn. So I fixed the the head part of the rod. I took the hole thing apart and put it back together. The reel it is a spinning reel type the one that has the metal bar you flip back an forth. On the rod every time u throw it the bar flips so it will not cast it is a Garcia Mitchell 900. if you unscrew the bar is a spring i am wondering if there is something wrong with the spring. what should i do to fix it.
I wouldn’t suspect a spring if the bail snaps closed upon cast. I’d look into the bail tripping or locking mechanisms. Google Garcia Mitchell 900 and you will find schematics within the first few on the list.
