Can I use synthetic Oil in my air compressor?
I have a 20 gallon 5 hp air compressor that trips my breaker when it is cold. I have heard synthetic oil does not thicken in the cold. The compressor currently uses a SAE 30, what type of synthetic is compatible if I can use it.
I would think a mobil or delcron 10W30 would be safe to use. It is a better lubricant.
