im looking to buy a baitcast reel for light lures. is the shimano core a good choice?
Of course. It’s the most expensive bass-sized low-profile baitcasting reel on the market I believe. With a reel like that, it has to cast light lures well. You may also look into some other, cheaper reels that will still get the job done. Shimano Curado, Ardent reels (like the above people mentioned), Daiwa’s, Abu Garcia Revo STX, etc all of these will work great for a lot less money.
