For all purpose jig and worm fishing, which line test is better all around:15 or 12lb?
My setup is 7′MH trigger rod with a Shimano Citica. I will be using fluorocarbon. The jigs are from 1/4 to 1/2 oz. The plastics are anywhere from 6-10″. I use weights of all sizes also. Anywhere from 1/16 up to 1/2 oz. I use this rig for Carolina riggin also, with 3/4 to 1 oz Tungsten worm weights. I’ve always used 12 lb mono. Now that I’m starting to get serious about bass fishing, I will be using a fluorocarbon. Should I stick with 12 or should I move up to 15 lb for this rig? Thanks.
I would go with 15. Its floro so line shy fish wont be an issue, theres no reason not to use 15. its still a light enough line to get the feel and be managable.
