Seat Butt

Seat Butt
Can anyone recommend a good touring seat or seat pads for a Vulcan 900 classic?

The stock seat makes my butt go numb after about 50 or 60 miles.

I can tell you seats are like clothes. Everyone wears them differently. I own a few bikes and have gone through a few seats on each one to find the right fit. I do own a Vulcan 2000. On this bike’s stock seat I suffered from numb a_s terribly. I finally after a corbin and a couple of others including having the pad changed in the original bought a mustang seat. I have had the Mustang seat for 2 years and can ride from daybreak to sunset in complete comfort. I will warn you however that a buddy of mine has the exact same bike and the exact same seat and doesn’t have more than about 2-3 hours seat time before he has to get off and walk around for a little while before continuing on. We both own 08 Concours 1400’s and it is just the opposite. He rides on the stock seat and is fine. I however couldn’t stand the stock seat and spent countless funds before I found a seat I liked. We went across country last summer and he did fine on his stock seat while I was still a little uncomfortable after about 6-7 hours. Have to admit 800 mile days are hard on any seat. I can however and have many times gone on 12 or 13 hr rides on the Vulcan with the mustang seat and had no problem. My buddy is considerably taller than me. I am a very average 5’11” and about 190-200 lbs depending on the time of year.
