Your best bet, would be a medium weight rod ( fresh water, not the heavy salt water rods ), with a reel that will hold about 120 – 150 yds of 10 – 12 # test line Just rinse the tackle off after using in salt water .
use shrimp for bait.
use just enough weight, to keep bait on the bottom
