I’m looking for a small low profile bait caster like the shimano curado 101d but less expensive… any ideas?
I really like the size of the 101 and the way it fits in my hand.
Stick with Shimano.
The Citica is a great real at a great price ($119.99). The new E-series is not available in the 100 size yet, but I would imagine it will be before too long. Otherwise, if you search the internet enough, you could probably find a Citica-D, which is the last series. I have a Citica 200D and I love it. I got it in a combo with a 7′ M/H Cabelas Fish Eagle XML rod for only $160 a couple years ago…what a steal!
There was also a 100DSV model made. I have pretty good size hands, so the 200 doesn’t bother me too much. Though I occasionally wish I had a 100.
This site is apparently selling the Citica 100DSV, but they have a picture of the new 200E. I would call or e-mail to double check.
