Would a Shimano Ultegra 53/39 crankset do me fine for hills (road bike)?
Cassette – Shimano Ultegra 12-25, 10 speed
Shifters – Shimano Ultegra STI, 10 speed
I’m used to a triple crankset, so how would a double feel?
I’m talking pretty hilly – like all of the time.
Also, a sizing guide recommended a 57 cm frame – would a 56 do okay?
I am about 5′ 11” and have about a 33” leg length
I can choose a long, medium, or short sized stem. What should I opt for? I can recall my last bike being quite a stretch – maybe a short stem would do better?
STEMS: used Bontrager Earl (SHORT), New Origin8 Profit Series (Medium) and used Ritchey Pro (Long)
It will depend on your strength and the hills. I would go with the triple chain ring or a compact double 50/34 instead.

You need to have the bike shop fit you to a bike. A compact chain ring is very close to a triple on the low end. A 56 cm should work you have to try it.
