Help! My saltwater pool is GREEN.?
Recently, my saltwater pool has turned disgustingly green. I have been apathetic with caring for it so I assume the filters are clogged/not functioning. This pool belongs to my parents and I need to fix this problem ASAP. The wind/pollen in my area has been obscene this month, therefore making upkeep more difficult. I’m an idiot for letting it get this bad but am now willing to do anything to help turn it around. At least, start making it look clear! I don’t know anything about chlorine levels, or how on earth to go about checking or balancing them. I know nothing of algae. Please crack an egg of knowledge on me. Help a brother. I’m kidding. But seriously, help, what can I do ASAP to get this green water problem fixed?
well a salt water chlorinator stops making chlorine if the salt is too low or the cell is dirty or sometimes if the water is too cold or there is not enough flow because of a dirty filter…I would say start with the chlorine generator manual and go from there…many pool stores will test your water for free and they sell salt test strips!
