Why is the water level going down on its own in my Saltwater tank?
Its like the water is just dissapearing out of the tank. I notice the water level going down so I marked where it was and with a couple of days it was down even lower!!! I have check around the fish tank I dont see a leak at all and nothing is wet around tha tank. Any one know what is going on?
Its just evaporation,and is normal. You can try to limit surface agitation to cut it down a little. Just be sure to top the tank off with freshwater, salt doesn’t evaporate. Mark the tank at the level you want to keep it and add water as necessary.
