Want to make a CD out of an old tape recording of a wedding.The recording is on a big reel from a recorder .?
The recording is about 30 years old.Can I copy it with my microphone on the computer?
You can, but:
1. You’ll have to use software OTHER THAN Sound Recorder, because it stops recording after 60 seconds. Try downloading Audacity (freeware).
2. The room had better be very quiet. Close the window, close the shutters, close the door. Hopefully, your computer’s fan doesn’t make much noise.
3. Put the recorder speaker close to the microphone. Test it out a bit before leaving the room.
