Which is a better jig/worm reel: Shimano Citica or Curado?
I have had my Curado for about a half year and just got my Citica in the mail. My Curado is the 7.0:1 gear ratio model, and the Citica is a 6.3:1. I have been debating whether I should put the Curado on my 7′M rod for cranks and spinnerbaits, or if I should put the Curado on my 7′ MH rod for jigs and soft plastics. So, which reel, the Citica or the Curado, would be best suited for which technique. The spinners and cranks I’ll be throwing are from 1/4 to 1/2 oz. The jigs are mostly 3/8 oz.
I would use the citica as the worm reel. a lower gear ratio is the main reason I say that.
