I want a good online school for dog trainer penn foster or animal behavior college .. ?
which school is better I love the curriculum at Penn Foster for dog trainer/instructor and its affordable , no hands on thow unless i go to a shelter , then there is Animal Behavior College more costly and may take me away from home a bit for the mentor training for hands on. I like the fact that they are very professional. the corriculum for Penn Foster is more detailed like for special dogs for special events/ people with handi caps etc. so which is more popular and both seem to help with a job afterwards I want to still keep my part time job while studying online…. thanks for any replys out there…
Dog training is so hands on and nuanced, I have a hard time understanding how online training works beyond learning fundamentals and underlaying behavior. I’ve trained under multiple reputable trainers as a student and eventually went under an informal apprenticeship program once I demonstrated my handling of dogs… I would have loved to earn a certificate for my work but not positive how these programs teach handling skills through a computer screen.
