Best shimano reel for the money these days?
I had a reel I received about 10 years ago as a birthday present, and it was beautiful it wasn’t expensive but it was very smooth and freshwater only, I know it didn’t cost more than 50 dollars. But my sister decided to take my fishing gear to the beach for her boyfriend and in the time she had it her car got repossessed along with all my gear and because of her stupidity not to get her belongings back all my gear is essentially gone . So i really need a reel like my old one for under 60 bucks.
Check eBay for used Curados, a well maintained used Curado will still be better than most of Shimanos lesser models that are brand new. I and other fishermen I know have been using these reels for over 12 years with simple yearly cleaning and lubricating. I personal fish at least 80 days a year in both fresh and salt water, these reels really hold up.
