i am going to be fishing for white sea bass in socal. is the shimano torium 20 a good reel?
i am looking for a reel that is under 300 and i will be fishing for white sea bass in socal. i wan a reel that is strong, and cast well with out backlashes. SHOULD I GET THE SHIMANO TORIUM 20 OR A FINNOR MARQUESA?
Forego the Torium if you’re going to be casting. If you REALLY need that much line, then get a 600 or 700 sized TEKOTA. It’s comparably priced to the Torium, but it’s a MUCH better for trolling/casting than the NON-levelwind Torium.
So, if you’re ONLY going to EVER pitch baits…then I suppose the Torium is fine. But if you want to do ANYthing else with it, then I would get a TEKOTA.
