Is a baitcast reel with a 6.3:1 ratio a good choice for shallow to mid crankbait fishing?
I’m thinking about getting a shimano citica for my crankin, which has a 6.3:1 ratio. I’m pretty new to crankbait fishing. Is this a good choice? I don’t do too much deep crankin.
I don’t do too much crankbait fishing myself, but I suppose a 6.3:1 gear ratio would be good for shallow and mid-depth baits. Hell, even deep-diving ones too. It’s not lightning fast, and its not slow either.
