Where can I get a good fishing pole for under $30.00?
I am looking for a freshwater fishing pole (to use in Lake Erie). I would prefer it to be an open spinning reel but if it is a closed one that you push the button on, that’s fine too, as long as it is a good pole.
Shakespeare Microspin Combo : $20, available in the spin-cast (push button), spinning version (open face) and the trigger spin (which is a push button only upside down and you press a trigger instead of a button. This combo will be good for : Bluegill, perch, sunfish, and crappie.
Zebco 33 Spin-Cast Combo : $21, available only in the push button version, but is a good reel for the price. Nice line capacity. Will do good for : Bass and catfish.
Shakespeare Tiger Combo : $20, on-sale for $13, a HUGE reel and a nice rod available in push button and spinning version. Good for catfish and similar sized fish.
Any of those three are really good combo’s for the price. I have owned 2 of them myself. I have used the 33 combo too.
