What are these gear shifters called?
There is a lever on the handle bar, it is six speed and there two modes. Mode one, normal 6 clicks and its done. Mode two, they are like the ones you would find on a vintage road bike a smooth single move, i thinks it’s to be more precise with your gear shifting. I want to know the TYPE not model. all i know is the make is shimano.
When it clicks it’s in the indexed mode without the clicks it’s in the friction mode. In indexed mode is easier to shift if you have the cable adjusted properly. There is a barrel adjuster where the cable enters the rear derailleur. You turn it to fine tune the indexed model.
